Camp Kenan also offers a unique setting for the child who is not quite ready to attend overnight camp. Campers 6 to 12 years old are eligible to attend. Day-Campers participate in a wide array of age-appropriate outdoor activities including: sand volleyball, basketball, hockey, crafts, soccer, swimming, canoeing, archery, bouldering, campfires and much, much more. The Day Camp fee includes a hot lunch and snack served daily. Every Wednesday is theme day, and every other Wednesday is the optional Day Camp Sleepover. This gives campers a taste of what overnight camp is like.

Day camp is housed in the Cowdrick Memorial Pavilion, which overlooks Lake Ontario.

The program runs Monday through Friday from 9 to 4:30 p.m. For an additional fee, parents may drop their children off at camp between 7 and 9 a.m. or pick their child up late between 4:30 and 6:00 p.m. A bus is available daily departing from the Lockport YMCA at 8:30 a.m. and returns by 5 p.m.

All Day Camp staff members have participated in extensive training prior to camp and voluntarily submit to thorough background and reference checks before employment. Day camp runs for 9 weeks beginning June 30th and concluding August 29th.

** Cost: $90 for Lockport YMCA Members and $160 for Non-Members
** Bus Cost: $40 a week
